What to Expect With Kids

KIDS MINISTRY AT VALLEY

At Valley our kids (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

Here's what to expect when visiting Valley for the first time at one of our weekend services.

First, find the area check in and we will get you all set up for one of our weekend services!

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/Guardian Name(s)

  • Child's name

  • Child's birthdate

  • Home address

  • Phone Number

  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children.

  • You will then receive a security pick up tag along with a child's name tag.  Your child over nursery age will worship with you first then line up with our leaders for their own service.  After big church you may head to the classroom where your child will be to pick them up.

Wednesday  Next Gen Gatherings

Our pre-k ( toilet trained) to 4th grade meet on Wednesday nights from 6 to 8 pm in the Fellowship Hall-check in at the booth.  Kids will learn about Jesus and connect with friends and have a great time.

Keeping Kids Safe!

Ensuring the safety of children is a top priority here at Valley. Our goal is to provide a secure environment where children can learn and grow closer to God.  To do this, we offer a secure check in & out system, background checked and safety trained caring adults, and safety guidelines & procedures that all staff and volunteers follow.

Background Checks: Each staff and volunteer working and interacting directly with children are thoroughly screened by passing a background check and engaging in an interview.
Child Protection Policies: We have established clear child protection policies and require all staff and volunteers to be trained in these policies.
Child Supervision: All children’s programs and special events are supervised by 2 or more staff or adult volunteers at all times.
Secure Check-In/Check-Out Procedures: We use a digital check-in and check-out system, which prints name tags for children, and check out stickers for parents, which are required to be presented upon pickup of their child.
Additional Security Measures:  We have installed windows in classroom doors and cameras in each classroom.  We also have a security team that helps to monitor and secure our premises during operating times.
